Every month of every year, our consistent forums for your continuing education and inspiration

are made possible through the generous support of a local partner. 




Online credit card registration payments will be accepted no sooner than 90 days prior to each event.  Check and cash payments are accepted anytime.

Refund Policy:  A full refund of registration fees will be provided if cancellation of the registration is reported to the administrative office in writing (info@pgrtaz.org or 602-840-2900) prior to the RSVP deadline, generally the Thursday prior to the event, or as noted in each event details posting.  Registration fees will be payable if cancellation not received as noted above for pending registrations/no shows.

(Please note:  This refund policy does not apply to the annual Planned Giving Conference event.  Refund policy for this event will be specific to this event and is noted in the details of the event posting)

    Your Gift Planning GPS:  What is the difference between a good gift planning program and a great one?  In the fall of 2020, CGP will publish National Standards for Gift Planning Success. The standards describe best-case scenarios for all aspects of a program, including management support, human capacity-building and donor-focused operations.  In this presentation, the Chair of CGP’s Metrics and Standards Task Force brings an update on the development of the GPS Standards and how they incorporate the challenging process of measuring the performance of gift planners and planned giving programs. We know that many gift planners struggle to have a “seat at the table” in their organizations.  Many gift planners also consider their metrics to be counterproductive, incentivizing the wrong behavior and imposing a short-term view on a long-term process. The CGP GPS Standards will provide large and small organizations a road map for program success and a realistic way to generate information that helps managers understand the importance of gift planners’ work.

    The unpredictable and unsteady nature of our current tax laws have left your donors' advisors with a challenging and at times formidable environment for charitable and estate planning. The silver lining of this situation is the fertile ground it provides for charitable planning and the opportunity for philanthropic individuals to make their important legacy gifts. Looking beyond retirement income in CRTs and CGAs allows us to explore the ways that these tools can be used for transfer and income tax planning. We will discuss trends and tools that will allow us to keep current with our donors' changing needs and advisors' priorities. We will also explore scenarios that will help us better understand the way these tools, when used in unconventional manners, can offer more opportunities for your donors to meet their planning and tax needs in conjunction with honoring their call to support your organization's mission and providing for their loved ones.
