In June, 2012, we will be entering the fray of Presidential elections, and be just 6 months away from the sunset of the $5,000,000 unified gift and estate tax exemption equivalents.

What will Congress do?

More importantly, what can you do now to maximize tax free transfers of wealth to heirs, identify timely gift opportunities, impact legislative agendas, and keep your organization's mission moving forward?

CEO's, Board Members, Professional Advisors, Philanthropists and Fundraisers
will want to be at this Forum!

January 2012:  President's Message

Continuing our series of strong presentations, February's program welcomes nationally recognized Robert F. Sharpe, Jr.  He will be speaking about something at the top of many minds in our industry:  the impact of the Dec 2010 tax law changes on charitable planning today, and the likely changes, and impacts, of possible scenarios in Jan 2013.

If you haven't yet noticed the flurry of activity directed to producing another exceptional Summer Forum, you certainly will over next four months.  Our members, all members, should consider bringing everyone possible in their offices and circles of influence to this event.

Are you new to planned giving?   or perhaps you are a board member, non-profit executive, or philanthropist?
There's a full track of presentations and talented presenters chosen specficially for you!

Professionals Advisors and Seasoned Fundraisers will find the day filled wtih new information, challenging presenters and dialogue, and substantial motivation and inspiration to keep you moving through 2012.

Every non-profit and profressional advisory firm should consider purchasing one of the 12 breakout session hosting sponsorships, as the benefits for these folks are tremendous:  pre-paid admissions, VIP pricing for additional attendees, year long visibility to more than 7000 planners and professionals, and your messaging impact from the podium on event day.

Help us spread the word:  collect 15 Save the Date cards at our February meeting, and give them to someone who should be there.  Better yet, do you know an organization who would make a great marketing collaborator?  Let me know!

See you at our meetings!

Thoughts on moving From Success to Significance:

"There should be less talk;

a preaching point is not a meeting point.

What do you do then?

Take a broom and clean someone's house.

That says enough."

Mother Theresa (1910-1997)

_____

"If I had eight hours to chop down a tree,

I'd spend six sharpening my axe."

Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

_____

"You must be the change

you wish to see in the world."

 Mahatma Ghandi (1869-1948)

_____

"You are the people who are shaping a better world.   One of the secrets of inner peace is the practice of compassion."

 Dalai Lama (1935 -)
